BOZEMAN - A Billings woman is facing a new charge in connection with a crime spree through Bozeman last week.
Brandi Hodgin, 27, is now charged with felony burglary. According to court documents, when police searched a stolen truck driven by Hodgin during last week's high-speed chase through Gallatin County, they found it full of items that had been stolen from a Bozeman home earlier in the day.
Laptop and desktop computers, a flat-screen TV, cell phones and other items were reportedly stolen from a Hardin Lane residence earlier that day.
Hodgin is also accused of stealing a checkbook from a vehicle then trying to cash stolen checks at two local banks on Wednesday, April 24. Hodgin reportedly fled from the second bank when police arrived then led them on a 35-mile chase, reaching speeds of up to 80 miles per hour.
The chase ended when she crashed through a metal fence, landing the truck in a creek.
She's being held in the Gallatin County Detention Center on $100,000 bond.
Two Billings men were arrested later in the week in connection with the incident.
David Spencer, 41, and Jason Ramirez, 31, were identified as Hodgin's associates. Police say they found the pair at the Lewis & Clark Motel along with another stolen truck and a stolen motorcycle. Meth was reportedly also found in the room.
Spencer is charged with two felony counts of criminal possession of dangerous drugs and one count each of criminal possession with intent to distribute and theft by possession of stolen property. He is being held on a $50,000 bond.
Ramirez is charged with one count each of criminal possession of dangerous drugs and theft by possession of stolen property. His bail was set at $35,000.
