Winter Weather Advisory for SW Montana Sunday-Monday

Winter Weather Advisory has been issued for SW Montana east of the divide beginning 2am Sunday through 5am Monday.

A pacific weather system moving along the U.S. and Canadian border will bring widespread light snow and colder temperatures from early Sunday morning through early Monday morning. Primary impact will be hazardous road travel conditions from initial snowfall melting then refreezing as temperatures cool on Sunday.

Snow accumulation: 2" to 4" are expected in the valleys and foothills... with 6" to 9" in the mountains. Favored north facing slopes of the Bridger mountains may see up to 12".

Occasional periods of moderate snow will decrease visibilities to less than one mile at times.

Locations affected: Battle Ridge pass, Bozeman, Bozeman pass, Targhee pass, West Yellowstone, Boulder, Boulder Hill, Elk Park pass, Homestake pass, Whitehall, Townsend, Twin Bridges, Big Hole pass, Chief Joseph pass, Dillon, Monida pass, Ennis, Norris Hill, Raynolds pass.

Weekend Meteorologist Adam Bell will have updated information on this storm system tonight at 5:30pm and 10pm on KBZK and KXLF.
