The weather pattern over the next 24 hours is looking good for SW Montana. There is a slight risk for some late afternoon thunderstorms today and again tomorrow but they should be few and far in between. Some of these hit and miss thunderstorms will likely produce areas of heavy rain as they will be slow moving storms.
A weak cold front will push through tomorrow afternoon and with it look for increasing winds late Thursday into Friday and cooler temperatures.
The best day for thunderstorms to develop will be Friday afternoon and evening.
I have included a detailed video forecast for SW Montana for the next 24 hours and a special forecast for Butte's fireworks tonight and parade tomorrow.
I'll have all your local weather forecasts coming up tonight at 5:30pm and 10pm on KXLF and KBZK.
