Those that serve Bozeman's homeless, the HRDC Warming Center, now need help themselves. Says Spokesperson Sara Savage, the center, nearing the end of their winter season, is seriously low on funds.

"The warming center is completely funded by community donations," says Sara, "which means we rely on our community members to keep the doors of the warming center open."

Savage says that 'gap' amounts to roughly $15,000. Warming center staff and volunteers therefore spent Saturday trying to raise part of that at a breakfast fundraiser, held at the Community Café.

The event went from 9 a.m. until noon, and everything from the main dish to the coffee, cost only $7.00. Savage says, if the $15,000 isn't raised, it would not only force them to close early, but could delay the open next year.
