HELENA - It's official, Montana voters are sending Senator Jon Tester back to the U.S. Senate.

It's been buzzing at the Jon Tester Campaign headquarters in Great Falls for the last 24 hours. Tester gave his acceptance speech Wednesday morning before a crowd of supports, friends and family.

"It's my pleasure on behalf of our entire family. U.S. Senator, Montana farmer, and our dad Jon Tester," Kilikina Schultz said in introducing her father to the crowd.

"I've been waiting for a long time to say this, it is over!" Tester said. "It is an honor to accept your trust in sending a Montana farmer with Montana values back to the U.S. Senate.

"Literally, tens of thousands of TV commercials, radio ads, fliers in the mail, many of them from big corporations who spent millions of dollars trying to buy Montana's votes. This victory is our victory, because it proves that neither corporations nor billionaires can buy the State of Montana and buy elections," Tester stated.

"As Montanans, as neighbors we owe thanks to Congressman Rehberg. He has spent a career in public service. Our priorities may be different but together we can thank him and honor him for a lifetime spent working for Montana," he continued.

"I look forward to working together, with you, to make this state, continue to have this state be the greatest, and this country be the greatest country in the world," remarked the Democrat.

We will have much more coverage of this race on our evening news, and also on our websites.
