BELGRADE - A female driver was taken to the hospital after her vehicle rolled at the Belgrade interchange on Interstate 90 this afternoon.
At around 1:45 p.m., emergency personnel were called to the crash in which the woman lost control of her white Subaru Outback, Montana Highway Patrol Trooper Doug Samuelson said. The vehicle rolled once before landing in the median, Samuelson said.
The driver of the vehicle says another car came into her lane of traffic and she lost control after swerving to avoid it. She told authorities the suspect vehicle continued driving.
Firefighters had to extricate the driver from the vehicle, Samuelson said, adding she was being held inside by her seatbelt. Samuelson said he believes the seatbelt saved her life.
The driver was taken to Bozeman Deaconess Hospital. Her condition is not known at this time.
