UPDATE: Suspicious man who triggered Bozeman High School lockdown questioned, let go

(UPDATE) BOZEMAN - A man who was described as suspicious, triggering a lockdown at Bozeman High School this morning, was located, questioned and let go after authorities determined that he did not break any laws.

The man, who was carrying a bag containing a bow, was located along Interstate 90 at the westbound entrance at the 19th Avenue on-ramp. Police questioned the man and determined he did nothing wrong, Bozeman Sgt. Steve Crawford said.

Two people had reported that they saw the man pacing back and forth outside the high school earlier today, prompting a lockdown at the high school, which lasted about 20 minutes, ending at around 11:30 a.m.


(UPDATE) BOZEMAN - A lockdown at Bozeman High School was lifted at about 11:30 a.m. Tuesday.

The school was locked down for about 20 minutes after a suspicious person was seen in the area.

BOZEMAN - Bozeman High School is in lockdown at this time.

A suspicious character was seen walking down Main Street near the school, but school officials do not know if the person entered the school or got onto a bus, Superintendent Rob Watson said.

The lockdown went into effect at around 11:10 a.m. Tuesday. Police and resources officers are in the school.
