Madison County Sheriff Dave Schenk confirmed Sunday that a Harrison teen brought two loaded small caliber revolvers and a 6"-8" inch hunting knife to school Friday.
"I can assure the public that this is an isolated issue that has been taken care of and I don't believe it will have a future effect on the safety of the school," said Schenk Sunday.
Late Friday afternoon, the school superintendent was alerted and the weapons were found in the 14-year-old's locker.
The teen was remanded to the juvenile officer and taken into custody.
Schenk says the teen will face charges and possibly several felony offenses. Schenk believes the teen will make a court appearance sometime Monday.
