A two car collision sends a mother and her daughter to the hospital Saturday night according to Officer Eric Vandersloot with the Bozeman Police Department.

The accident occurred after 6 p.m. Saturday night at the intersection of Main and College. A vehicle was attempting to turn into the Gallatin Valley Mall while another car was attempting to drive through the intersection on a yellow light.

Two of four passengers in a Toyota Sequoia, a mother and her child, were transferred to Bozeman Deaconess. The mother sustained an injury to her chest and the child sustained an injury to her head. Neither of their injuries appeared to be life threatening.

The accident was clear by 8 p.m. Saturday.

Vandersloot says that people need to be more cautious when driving and slow down for yellow lights instead of trying to make it through.

No charges were filed. It will be up to the insurance company to determine fault.
