GREAT FALLS - A crash on Highway 89 just east of Great Falls on Sunday afternoon sent two people to the hospital.
Initial reports indicate that the collision was caused by a driver making an illegal u-turn.
Officials have not yet released details on the case.
The first on-scene witnesses tell us that a 17-year-old boy was traveling east on the highway in an SUV.
The teen attempted to make a u-turn into westbound traffic, and collided with a pickup truck, also heading east.
The SUV spun and the truck ended up in westbound traffic.
Three emergency agencies responded to the accident.
Officials have not yet released the nature or extent of the victims' injuries.

Emergency crews are on the scene of a crash east of Great Falls.
It happened sometime before 2:30 p.m. near mile marker 89 of US Highway 89.
We do not yet know if anyone has been injured or how many vehicles were involved.
