On Tuesday, Montana's Senate Energy and Telecommunications Committee will consider a bill that would take away the right of utility companies to take private property by eminent domain.

Republican sponsor Debby Barrett of Dillon says the power to seize property should not be given to private companies.

"All they have done is met the environmental requirements of the state. They are not authorized or overseen by the Public Service Commission." (0:10)

Also on Tuesday, the Senate Judiciary Committee will consider a bill that would prohibit private citizens from using aerial drones for surveillance. The Senate has already approved a ban on using evidence from drones in criminal trials.

And the Senate Fish and Game Committee will hear testimony on a bill that would allow hunters to kill more than one wolf. The House passed the bill, 96 votes to three.
