BUTTE - Wildwood Trails of Bozeman, is working to construct a new ten mile segment of the Continental Divide National Scenic Trail east of the East Ridge. The segment will connect the Continental Divide National Scenic Trail from Our Lady of the Rockies to the Nez Perce trail in Elk Park.
Throughout the summer and fall there will be blasting of rocks at intermittent times of the day. The construction area along the route will be closed to all public entry, including foot, horse and bike travel, for public safety. The construction of the Continental Divide National Scenic Trail is a national priority by the Forest Service and other land management agencies to complete the trail that travels from Canada to Mexico.
