BUTTE - Local tire businesses are getting hit hard with Butte residents needing their snow tires to drive.
The Butte Les Schwab says things have been pretty chaotic the last two days because of the snow storm. Everyone is wanting to switch out summer tires for snow tires at once.
The store assistant manager says there is probably 50 cars waiting to be serviced.
Regular store hours are from 8 a.m. to 6 p.m., but people are lined up at the door before 7 a.m., waiting to get their snow tires put on.
"It's been absolutely insane. I've been in the tire business a long time. I don't think I've ever seen it like this. We've been putting snow tires on since the 1st of October, but it's still just crazy," says Assistant Manager Bob Carpino.
The Les Schwab crew is putting in a lot of overtime hours and staying till 9 p.m.
