THOMPSON FALLS - Sander County prosecutors charged a Thompson Falls man, accusing him of driving drunk and killing two people in a September wreck.

Lance Christopher Pavlik is charged with two counts of vehicular homicide while under the influence for the death of Jeremiah Bennett and his fiance, Christina Jackson. He's also being charged with criminal endangerment, because Bennett's son and daughter suffered broken legs in the crash.

The wreck happened shortly before midnight on Sept. 8. Prosecutors say Pavlik crossed the center line on Prospect Creek Road and collided with the four people in the other car.

Jackson died on impact, Bennett died in the hospital and the children were treated and released. Pavlik was also taken to the hospital, but was later released.

Investigators say Pavlik's blood alcohol content was more than three times the legal limit.
