"Thanks For Giving" attracts 1000 people in first hour

A thousand people turned out after only an hour for the "Thanks For Giving" clothing giveaway Saturday morning.

The giveaway, done the weekend before Thanksgiving, doles out free clothes to anyone who attends. Says shopper Andee Malarchick, "I found a lot of brand new stuff with tags on it, I found a couple leather suede jackets, and about 14 new purses to go with all the stuff I like."

Thanks For Giving runs Sunday from 9 am to 1 pm, at the Willson School Gymnasium.
