Montana Tech will be the site of a new $10 million building for Natural Resources Research.
Chancellor Don Blackketter says the legislature approved $10 million to build the new Natural Resources Research Center.
The state would provide $5 million.
Montana Tech is in the process of raising the other $5 million.
Construction is tentatively scheduled to start in a year, and wouldn't be complete for about two years.
"That's an exciting project so we're going to have a lot of architectural engineering planning work ahead of us with the pool and the new building," said Montana Tech Chancellor Don Blackketter.
Tech plans to have a new pool installed, with a lifeguard on duty.
