BILLINGS - Poly Drive Elementary School hosted a demonstration of the new Fit Kids Club program, designed to provide exercise opportunities to school children across the state.
The program is incorporated with each school's regular physical activities, by simply offering students an additional ninety minutes of exercise before and after school.
This pilot program is made possible through funding from Blue Cross Blue Shield Foundation for Healthy Montanans. The organization has already provided $156,000 for the program. In addition to supporting the Fit Kids Clubs, the money is being used to upgrade the website as well as enhance participant incentives for the Big Sky Fit Kids and Shape Up Montana programs.
