Still counting ballots in Yellowstone County

BILLINGS - The Yellowstone County Elections Office should be done counting all ballots by the end of business on Friday.
That is the word from elections administrator Bret Rutherford who was still busy at the ballot counting machine Friday morning.
The count has been slowed by difficulty in getting a two-page ballot through the counter and by machines not working properly.
The elections office still needed to count about 28,000 of the second page of the ballots on Thursday night, but that count was going smoothly Friday.
The ballots remaining will not affect the outcome of those initiatives and referendums, according to elections officials.
