A roller coaster of a week ahead in terms of temperatures and precipitation, as our first snowfall of 2013 is expected to hit the region.
The latest models on this Sunday afternoon indicate a warm up for our Monday and Tuesday with high temperatures in some locations possibly hitting near 40 degrees. But don't get too used to the mild temperatures, because a cool down will move in by mid-week.
Along with the cool down, will be a chance of snow showers. Snow looks to develop Monday night into the morning hours on Tuesday, possibly making a slick Tuesday morning commute. Snow tapers off on Tuesday afternoon, before another batch of snow returns to the area late Wednesday possibly lasting through Friday. While the chance of snow is there, computer models indicate no significant accumulations expected at this time, with either event.
Watch out for chilly temperatures returning by Thursday and Friday with below average highs and lows across the region for several days heading into the weekend. Have a great Sunday!
