A Winter Weather Advisory is in effect for all of Southwest Montana though tonight with the potential for a few inches of the white stuff, creating a White Christmas for many later today.
The other big story today will be the significant drop in temperatures. Our daytime highs, well, they've already happened as the mercury will drop through Christmas morning, with almost all of us getting below zero when we wake up tomorrow.
The latest models this morning are indicating anywhere from 1 to 3 inches of snow possible across the region, with 3 to 6 inches possible in the higher elevations. While this isn't a significant amount of snow, with many of us out on the roadways traveling to see friends and family, those roads will be slick and icy most of the day today. With lows well below zero, those roadways will continue to remain snow covered and icy through Christmas day.
If you are traveling, play it safe, take your time and have a great holiday!
