The forecast for Southwest Montana hold a mixed bag as far as the forecast is concerned this week. Temperatures will stay mild for the first part of the week with daytime highs likely to spike into the upper 30s and lower 40s for much of the area. Light snow potential will be in the forecast through Wednesday as weak upper-level system rolls through the area. A much more substantial chance of snow starts to pile in by Thursday bringing a potential of 1-3 inches of new snow to the area. Highs by Friday will drop into the mid-teens with lows below zero.
