Skier who crashed into Big Sky hotel in fair condition

UPDATE: BIG SKY - A skier who crashed into a hotel at Big Sky Resort is now in fair condition at a Billings hospital.

The accident happened last Friday afternoon when a 50-year-old man was skiing down a run behind the Summit hotel when he slammed into the building. Ski patrol responded.

He was then taken by helicopter to the Billings Clinic with a head injury.

The name of the victim is not being released to protect the family's privacy. It's unknown whether the man is local or visiting from out of town.
