TWIN BRIDGES - A two vehicle crash on Highway 41 near Twin Bridges killed one and injured two more.

Montana Highway Patrol responded to the crash near mile marker 26.

The crash occurred around 6:10 a.m. when a 2009 Ford pickup was struck by a 2007 Volvo semi truck as both were traveling northbound.

The Ford slowed rapidly when signaling for a left turn. The vehicle following the Ford swerved to the shoulder to avoid the pickup.

It was then that the semi truck accelerated to pass and collided with the Ford.

The force of the impact caused the vehicle to roll multiple times, ejecting the 70-year-old male passenger from Dillon.

The passenger was pronounced dead on scene.

Both drivers from the semi and Ford were treated for unknown injuries.

Neither alcohol nor speed is considered to be a factor in the crash.
