Bozeman Police found out at 4:30 this afternoon, a six year old girl was one hour overdue for home.
Bozeman Police Sergeant Steve Crawford tells our Adam Bell she was found around 6:30pm.
A significant show of law enforcement and Search and Rescue numbered close to one hundred people.
Bozeman Police, Sheriff's Office, Montana Highway Patrol, Search and Rescue, and other agencies looking for the girl.
The girl was spotted at the Holiday gas station at Durston and 19th, and that started rescuers looking on foot in that vicinity.
Rescuers used four wheelers, spotlights, were covering streets in the neighborhood on foot,
and dogs were about to be brought in.
It turns out she normally goes to a certain house, on certain days of the week, and tonight instead of going home, she went to the house with the people who watch her part time.
It was particularly nerve wracking on the heels of the incident Monday of a man calling out to a six year old girl to get in his truck by Hyalite Elementary.
That incident has police doing stepped up patrols by schools.
