While we still have a few snow showers lingering in the area, the big thing you notice today is the cold air. With morning lows well below zero in many cities, including Butte (-21°).
The cold air will linger over the next 48 hours or so before we begin to see another pattern change by mid-week next week. The snow showers will taper off tonight, but the clouds will stick around long enough to keep us on the warmer side compared to this morning.
By Monday, we get a stronger push from the southwest, giving us more moderate temperatures along with a chance for snow showers. At this point the models indicate a minimal amount of snow, but enough to maybe make things a little slick out there. Today's models indicate that temperatures should increase to seasonal, or yes, even slightly above! So there is some light at the end of this cold tunnel. Have a great Saturday!
