BOZEMAN - Montana State University added a name to its growing injury list on Tuesday when sophomore receiver Tanner Roderick was declared out for approximately six weeks with a hand injury.
Roderick, who has caught four passes in MSU's first two games, was injured Saturday at SMU and diagnosed Tuesday morning.
Sophomore receiver Mitch Griebel will assume duties as MSU's holder on placements, but Roderick's spot on the depth chart at receiver will be announced Saturday.
"I feel terrible for Tanner," Ash said. "He was really starting to feel comfortable and play well at receiver. He's an important part of our offense and we look forward to his return."
MSU announced on Monday that on the last play of Saturday's 31-30 loss to SMU, starting QB DeNarius McGhee was hit as he was being driven out of bounds, separating his shoulder; he will be out until some time in October.
