The trial for the murder of a Montana State inmate was handed over to the jury Thursday afternoon. The trial began Tuesday.
30-year-old Shaun Duncan Morrison faces charges of felony deliberate homicide and possession of a deadly weapon by a prisoner. Morrison is on trial for the alleged murder of fellow inmate Julio Santiago Jr. on Sept. 4, 2011.
In court Thursday afternoon the jury heard from several witnesses. Closing arguments were heard. Presiding Judge Brad Newman handed the case over to the jury for a verdict.
The jury is still in deliberation.
