BOZEMAN - Officers from multiple local agencies gathered today to discuss recent reports of attempted kidnapping in the Bozeman area.
The first happened on Feb. 5 near Hyalite Elementary. The second was near the Paisley Court family and graduate housing on the MSU campus. In both cases, a man driving a black pickup approached a child and tried to get them to get into his truck.
Today, detectives from MSU, Bozeman and Belgrade police, along with the Gallatin County Sheriff's Office, met to discuss the cases and collaborate on leads that have been coming in. They say most of the calls they've received have been about the truck. So far, however, the leads have not led to a suspect.
