BILLINGS - A photo of the 41-year-old Billings man suspected of a Christmas day homicide has been released.

David B Isaacson of Billings was arrested on Tuesday in connection with the crime that took place early Christmas morning. Isaacson was arrested for deliberate homicide. According to the Billings Police Department, the victim was 34-year-old Sabah Mallak, who was also from Billings.

Police responded to a report of gun shots fired shortly before 1 a.m. on Tuesday near the intersection of Galway Drive and Hawthorne Lane. When officers arrived on scene, they found a red Pontiac Grand Am parked in front of a home on the 1100 block of Galway Drive. According to Detective Sgt. Mitch Hart, the Grand AM appeared to have left the roadway and crashed into a front yard fence. Mallak's body was located north of the vehicle, lying in the street.

An initial investigation reveals Isaacson and Mallak knew each other. A weapon was recovered from the area that might be linked to the homicide. Two vehicles from the scene were impounded pending search warrants.
