BELGRADE - If you think the upgrades to Bozeman Yellowstone International Airport are a welcome improvement, officials may not be done yet.

Airport officials are looking into a possible $8 million to $10 million addition to parking at the airport. The idea includes a three-level covered structure with approximately 450 parking spaces. In addition, a bridge would connect the parking spaces to the terminal.

Officials will discuss this during Thursday's airport board meeting. These are only preliminary talks about the garage. Airport Director Brian Sprenger says the additional parking could provide cars shelter from the elements and create a shorter walk to the terminal.

Also on Thursday's agenda is an update to the I-90 interchange project. The airport has invested $3 million on this $37 million project. Sprenger says that the project is moving along.

‘If all goes well and everything is complete from land acquisitions to utility relocations, we hope to see it bid out early this summer and construction start late summer early this fall," Sprenger said.

The meeting will take place Thursday at 2 p.m. in the Bridger Room at the airport.
