BOZEMAN - Learning to read is a high-tech activity for the kindergarten class at Anderson School.
Anderson School is this week's One Class at a Time recipient, receiving $250 for supplies from First Interstate Bank and KBZK. The class is using the money to buy e-books for their iPads.
"We are so lucky to be able to have iPads in our whole school and share them with everyone, but the access and what we have on them is kind of limited right now. So what I really want to do is buy these Storia books which are all leveled for K-8th and they have comprehension questions, they can read the stories to them or have them read it on their own and ask them questions at the end. It's just one more thing to step up our technology in our school and get them to read like we want them to do anyway," teacher Marie Judisch said.
"I like new books because it's really fun to have like supportive things to help me learn," kindergartener Gracie said.
