WEST GLACIER- Glacier National Park officials say that the famed Going to the Sun Road may remain closed into Thursday as crews work to clear several mudslides that were triggered by a strong Wednesday afternoon storm.

Park spokeswoman Denise Germann says Going to the Sun Road is still shutdown on the west side of the park between Avalanche Creek and Logan Pass and it may take until Thursday to clean up the mess. She says there are about a dozen slide locations between the Loop and Triple Arches and that almost 150 vehicles were in the area when the slides happened.

One vehicle that was hit needed to be towed away from the scene with Germann saying the occupants of that vehicle suffered minor injuries and were treated at the scene.
