BOZEMAN - With severe weather season fast approaching, the National Weather Service wants to make sure Montanans are ready.
Each year, the NWS offers special training for those wanting to learn how to safely observe and report severe weather.
The SKYWARN volunteer program is made up of nearly 290,000 trained spotters who help keep their communities safe by providing detailed reports of severe storms to the NWS.
