Butte-Silver Bow Chief Executive Paul Babb called a special meeting Monday to have county officials act as the Board of County Canvassers for the June 5 Federal Primary Election.
According to Clerk and Recorder Sally Hollis, all of the numbers check out.
Hollis spent nearly two hours assisting officials as they counted signatures and looked for discrepancies.
The process looks at the number of signatures from the voting register and the number of signatures from poll books and makes sure they match the final count from the machines that take in the ballots and county the votes.
Hollis says now that the canvassing process is over the county can move forward,
"We just finished canvassing. It is a very formal process. All the numbers check out so now we can focus on the November election," Hollis said.
