Crews are responding to a fire to the north of Duck Creek in Broadwater County.
As of 5:00 p.m. Tuesday the blaze was about 40 acres in size and had burned up two unoccupied structures.
Broadwater County Sheriff Brenda Ludwig said that there are other structures in the area, but they aren't in immediate danger.
The wildfire is burning through grassland and timber, and plenty of fuel. She said the wind has not helped either.
According to the sheriff there are two helicopters assisting crews from multiple agencies in the tri-county area and they are doing a "good job" trying to get it under control.
No information yet on the cause of the fire.
We will post more information as it becomes available.
