There was a frenzy of excitement and anticipation as dogs and mushers alike prepared for the first racing leg of the International Pedigree Stage Stop Sled Dog Race Sunday morning.
The second of nine stops, mushers had a meet and greet in West Yellowstone Saturday night, before continuing on.
Bozeman musher Jenny Greger says with this being her first time in the race, "I'm a little nervous, but once I'm out on the course, all that nervousness fades away."
The race runs until February 2nd, where it will end in Evanston, WY. First place winner takes a prize of $10,000.
