FORT HARRISON - Airmen came together in Helena on Saturday to welcome their new Command Chief.
The Adjutant General has selected CMSgt Timothy Zumbrun as the next Command Chief Master Sergeant for the Montana Air National Guard.
In his new role, Chief Zumbrun will advise commanders on missions, operations, and readiness.
He will also be a mentor to troops, and advise commanders on their morale and quality of life.
CMSgt Zumbrun said, "The one thing that's important to remember is that we don't perform these duties as National Guard members whether Army or Air without the support of family and employers and so I've had great support from both."
Chief Zumbrun will perform his duties mostly on weekends, as he will maintain his civilian job as an agricultural teacher at Absarokee High School.
