Montana State receiver Tanner Bleskin was selected as a finalist for the 2013 National Football Foundation Scholar-Athlete Awards, the NFF announced Wednesday. By earning entry onto that list, Bleskin is a semifinalist for the Campbell Trophy as college football's top scholar-athlete.
Known throughout his MSU career for academic achievement, the Great Falls CMR product's senior season is off to a sensational start on the field, as well. Bleskin is fifth in the FCS with 588 receiving yards and eighth in catches per game. Two weeks ago he set MSU's career receiving yards record, and is three catches from setting the MSU career record in that category, too.
A three-time Academic All-Big Sky selection, Bleskin earned CoSIDA Capital One Academic All-America honors as a junior. Bleskin majors in microbiology.
