Montana State controlled their own destiny heading into tonight with Southern Utah coming to town. With a win, combined with an Idaho State loss, Montana State would earn a birth into the Big Sky postseason tournament. The Cats came up short against the Thunderbirds 3 games to 1 in addition to Idaho State winning their match against Sacramento State earlier tonight.

The Bobcats were led by Sarah Horton with 16 kills on the night, followed Macy Page with 13 kills. But that wasn't enough as Southern Utah countered with 19 kills and 13 digs from Analaine Mailoto.

Montana State (14-11) hosts Northern Arizona (21-5) tomorrow night in the Cats final home game of the 2012 regular season.
