BOZEMAN - A motorcyclist was taken to the hospital after his bike crashed with an SUV at the intersection of 9th Avenue and Main Street this afternoon.
A Chevy Blazer was heading east on Main Street and was in the turn lane, waiting to turn onto 9th Avenue when a larger vehicle that was heading west stopped to let the Blazer turn. The driver of the motorcycle was also heading west in another lane and did not stop. The driver of the Blazer did not see the motorcyclist and turned in front of the motorcycle, causing the two to collide. Both the driver of the Blazer and the driver of the motorcycle had limited visibility due to the larger vehicle stopping, according to authorities on scene.
The motorcyclist was pinned under the Blazer for a short time. Emergency responders were able to get him out. He was taken to Bozeman Deaconess Hospital with injuries to his lower body.
No one else was hurt in the crash.
