UPDATE: According to Billings Police Lt. Kevin Iffland the motorcyclist involved in the crash on the rims Tuesday morning has died from his injuries.
The victim's name is being withheld pending notification of relatives.
BILLINGS - A motorcyclist suffered major injuries late Tuesday morning following an accident on Highway 3 just west of the Billings airport near intersection of Southview Drive.
Traffic was slowed in both directions. The 55-year-old male rider of the motorcycle was transported to Billings Clinic with critical injuries.
The injured biker was riding a Harley Davidson that was dtruck from behind crashed by a westbound Toyata Rav4 SUV. The 36-year-old female driver of the Toyota did not appear to be injured.
Billings Police crash investigators will be on scene for an extended period of time.
Both lanes of Highway 3 are open with officers directing slowed traffic through the crash scene.
