GALLATIN COUNTY - More information has been released about a two-vehicle crash that happened Thursday afternoon on Norris Road.

The driver of a sedan was attempting to pass a semi in a no passing zone when his car slammed into an on-coming pickup truck, according to troopers. The crash happened about six miles west of Four Corners.

It took fire fighters about 20 minutes to remove the driver, who is from Ennis, from the car. Troopers say he was Life Flighted to Billings Clinic and is in intensive care. The two people who were in the pickup were taken to Bozeman Deaconess with non-life threatening injuries.

Troopers at the scene say they're shocked the man survived.
