PHILIPSBURG - Crews are continuing to make progress fighting the lightning caused Moose Meadow fire burning west of Georgetown Lake.
The blaze has grown slightly to 3,500 acres in the Beaverhead-Deerlodge National Forest, but containment is now at 50 percent.
Fire managers say sunny skies and warm temperatures did not lead to increased fire behavior on Saturday as the fuels have not completely dried out from the recent rains.
There are still more than 400 personnel assigned to fight the fire, but crews will be demobilizing over the next few days.
The Stage 2 Evacuation Warning for the Middle Fork Road and the Moose Lake area, meaning residents may still need to evacuate in the future.
