Beer consumption is down nationally for the third straight year, but Montana remains near the top when it comes to our love of the suds.
Numbers provided by the Beer Institute show Montana ranks third per capita in consumption, behind only New Hampshire and North Dakota.
Montanans consumed, on average, nearly 41 gallons per legal aged person in 2011, which is actually down two gallons since 2003.
Analysts say the type of jobs in the state, including energy, farming and construction, feature men who like to drink beer.
