GREAT FALLS - With the growth in businesses and personnel working on the Bakken oil reserve, it's giving power to the Montana businesses who remain local and to spend local.
Loenbro, a Great Falls company, has 250 workers that may not clock in and out of Great Falls, but almost a third of their employees call the Electric City home, bringing their paychecks with them.
As some companies see the oil fields bringing more business to Montana, a different group is looking to the future and how it might effect them.
Cascade Electric has the manpower for now, but as business is expected to grow, the future demand for electricians might become an issue.
And with new oil expansions in northeast Montana, growth is expected, and it is how local companies deal with the changes that will make the biggest difference for future business.
