Montana State started the game on a 8-0 run, but Northern Colorado outscored them 41-26 in the second half to end the Bobcat season in the first round of the Big Sky basketball tournament. MSU had taken a 30-28 lead at halftime but never could generate any offense in the second half.
Northern Colorado hit 59% of their field goals in the second half compared to just 34.5% for MSU.
Christian Moon ended his Bobcat career with 15 points while Paul Egwuonwu finished with 11 and Antonio Biglow added 10. Tate Unruh led Northern Colorado with 22. Montana State has not won a Big Sky tournament game since 2009.
