Montana State's defense didn't allow a touchdown, and their offense was impressive, as the Bobcats beat 15th ranked Northern Arizona 36-7 on homecoming. The Bobcats took a 16-0 halftime lead on Shawn Johnson's 27 yard run and three Rory Perez field goals. DeNarius McGhee pushed the lead to 22-0 early in the third, and Cody Kirk made it 29-0 with a 12 yard scamper after a fumble recovery. But then McGhee threw an interception that was returned for a touchdown by NAU linebacker, Austin Hasquet. Johnson quickly made up for that with a 100 yard kickoff return.
Montana State's win gives them a 2-0 Big Sky Conference record.
