The Montana State University Bobcats used their suffocating defense, three field goals from Rory Perez, and a 70-yard touchdown pass from DeNarius McGhee to beat the Stony Brook Seawolves with a final score of 16-10 in the second round of the FCS playoffs.
Stony Brook pulled to within six points in the fourth quarter, and after Perez missed a 44-yard field goal, they were driving to tie, when Brad Daly and Caleb Schreibeiss teamed up for three straight sacks.
The third resulted in a fumble that was recovered by Daly.
The MSU Bobcats now move on to the quarter-final round where they'll host Sam Houston State next weekend, the same team that knocked them out of the playoffs last year. That game will be played under the lights at Bobcat Stadium next Friday night (December 7th) at 6:00.
