HELENA - A ground of the Montana Army National Guard soldiers are being honored in Billings on Sunday afternoon.

Twenty-two soldiers and their families from the Montana National Guard 484th Military Police Company stationed in Glasgow and Malta will be recognized in a Freedom Salute Ceremony at the Billings Convention Center, beginning at 1:30 p.m.

The soldiers were sent overseas in support of Operation Enduring Freedom.

"The Freedom Salute ceremony provides us a way to show our appreciation for the service and sacrifice our Soldiers and their families make when they volunteer to deploy for long periods of time," said Major Tim Crowe, public affairs officer for the Montana National Guard.

The public is invited and encouraged to attend the ceremony.
