MISSOULA - A woman spotted not one, but two mountain lions in her yard Friday night at her home near Fort Missoula.

The woman says she was trapped inside her car with her toddler after pulling into her driveway around 7:30 p.m. to find two mountain lions walking around in the front yard of her home.

The woman says she quickly dialed her friend Lindsey Wiesmann, who instructed her not to get out of the car and to tell her husband to stay inside the house.

Wiesmann says she called the police and rushed to her friend's house right away.

"They were walking in her yard, and then when she flashed the lights at them, I think they slowly climbed up the tree and then just sat there from the branch looking down at her while she was in the car. Very scary!" Wiesmann recalled.

The woman said she was trapped in her car for 15 to 20 minutes before the cats jumped from the tree and took off running east.

The mountain lions were nowhere to be found when police arrived, but the woman says she is thankful to have them off her property.
